Regrettably nowadays there has to be small print, but we have made the Terms as simple as possible and there should be nothing here to scare you as they are based on standard industry guidelines in the UK. If you are unsure please ask.
In order to make a reservation we require a DEPOSIT as set out below:
For your convenience, to save sending funds you can give us your credit card number and expiry date. By giving us your credit card details you are authorising us to charge it in full for your accommodation. In practice your card will not normally be charged until the arrival day to give you the option of paying by some other method. Please note that Final Accounts settled by credit card are subject to a 5% surcharge.
ie. Cash, Cheques or Travellers Cheques
From 1 - 2 night stays: 1 night
From 3 nights and more: 50% of total stay
Groups / Agency Bookings: Payment in full prior to arrival.
Please note that you are still liable for the accommodation in full as set out below in CANCELLATION POLICY.
It is recommended you take out Holiday Cancellation Insurance from your travel agent to cover every likely eventuality.
When you book accommodation you are entering a legally binding contract. If you have to cancel your trip or fail to take up the accommodation, for whatever reason, you will be liable in full to the accommodation provider, in this case Melita House Hotel.
If you are forced to cancel your booking please telephone us immediately and obtain a Cancellation Number from us.
Cancellations made more than 72 hours prior to arrival
You will be liable to an Administration Charge equivalent to one night's stay
Cancellation made within 72 hours of arrival
Every effort will be made to re-let the accommodation. If we succeed in re-letting it there you will be liable for an Administration Charge equivalent to one night's stay.
If the accommodation is not re-let you will be liable in full.
On signing our Registration Form or by placing a Reservation you are agreeing to be bound by the above Terms & Conditions.
